Eight gymnasts from Desert Lights Gymnastics in Chandler captured gold medals at the 2005 Arizona Spring Championships for Level 5 and 6 gymnasts in April.
   The Desert Lights Level 6 team took home the top team trophy.
   Gold medalists from Ahwatukee Foothils were:
• Tarrah Bonner: first in vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam, floor exercise and all-around, Level 5.
• Stefani Catour: first in uneven parallel bars, second in floor exercise and all-around, Level 6.

• Danica Melosi: first in floor exercise and second in all-around, Level 6.
• Jaimie Kerpan: first in balance beam and floor exercise; second in all-around, Level 5.
• Claire Hom: first in uneven parallel bars and third in floor exercise, Level 5.
   From Chandler, Bobbie Bromich garnered gold in uneven parallel bars and balance beam, and earned second place in all-around Level 6.
• Kaylee Carriera, Ahwatukee Foothills, third place on uneven parallel bars, Level 5.

• Alegra Garcia, Chandler, second place on balance beam, Level 5.
• Bailey Harris, Chandler, second place in vault, Level 5.
• Marlee Tarris, Ahwatukee Foothills, third place in floor exercise, Level 5.
• Kendall Hauser, Tempe, second place in floor exercise, third place on vault, Level 5.
• Sydney Esias, Chandler, third on floor exercise, Level 6.
