The Yearly Registration Fee of $50 is now due. If you have not already paid this, please include it with your May 1st payment.

Desert Lights' first Summer Break will be from Monday, May 24 thru Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day). There will be three, 4-week sessions-June, July, and August. The end of Summer Break will be from August 23-29-then Fall classes will begin.

The Desert Lights Optional Team did a great job at Regionals. Level 10's Jamie Armijo and Tyly Bozzuto qualified to National Junior Olympics. Jamie is a 3-time National Qualifier! Level 9's Tara Catour, Vanessa Davis, Julianna Meely, Emily Martin and Tess Wagner qualified to Western Nationals. At Level 8, Elizabeth Snoddy was the Regional Champion on Vault, Floor, and the All-Around, Fatima Hylton was Vault Champion, and Adriana Laroche was Bars Champion.

Desert Lights has an exciting summer planned for you! We will have special tumbling clinics, as well as day camps and special gymnastics offerings. Open Gym will continue each Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00pm. The fee for members is only $5-non-members may attend for $10. The gym is a great place to be in summer-cool and fun!

Instructors will be handing out mini-evaluation sheets this month, just to let your gymnast know what skills they are great at and what skills need work. Any gymnast ready for the next level will receive their certificate and ribbon at this time so they can start the summer at their new level. Get extra practice on your skills at Open Gym!
