Spring Break
Desert Lights does not close over Spring Break because we have students from many different areas of the city and different school districts as well as private and home-schooled students. These students have different Spring Break schedules. If you are in town over your Spring Break, please bring your gymnast to class.
Egg Hunt Open Gym
Egg Hunt open gym will be on Saturday, March 22 from 12pm to 2pm. Students wanting to participate should come to open gym as usual and bring one dozen plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy or other treats and taped shut. The gym will supply additional treats and prizes for our hunt. There will be games, contests and prizes as well as open gym gymnastics fun! Desert Lights students may bring friends with a signed waiver form. The cost is just $5 for open gym.
Tumbling Clinic
Backhandspring and Tunbling Clinic will be hels after the Egg Hunt open gym on Saturday, March 22 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. The focus will be on drills and spotting to learn backhandsprings. Advanced tumbling skills such as round-off backhandsprings and back tucks and layouts will also be drilled for those that are ready. Non-DLG students may participate with a signed waiver and the cost is just $10
Upcoming Events
Events in April and May include Spring gyn-wide evaluations and our Spring Fling gymnastics competition which is open to all Desert Lights students Level 1 and above. Desert Lights will be hosting the State Meet for Levels 7-10 on April 4-6 at Chandler High School. See the front desk for details to come cheer on your team!
